Velour Portraits
"What is Velour?"
"Velour" refers to the surface that the portrait has been drawn on. It is a paper with a fibrous surface, similar to felt paper, which serves to lock in layers of pastel. These portraits often have a very soft aesthetic, and can be perfect for long coated, fluffy animals. It's also ideal if you like a more 'painted' look, with gentler backgrounds, rather than complete photorealism. I love creating dogs and horses on this paper surface.
