TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. A non-refundable deposit is required before I start work on a portrait. This amount is to be agreed between the client and myself (Amy Edwards.)

  2. The outstanding payment is due once the portrait has been completed and the client has confirmed that they are happy with the result. The portrait must be paid for in full before dispatch is arranged.

  3. The price for each portrait allows for an hour of minor alterations. Any significant change from the initial order specifications can be discussed and considered and may be subject to additional charge. Each additional hour of work equates to an extra £10 owed. Should the artist be unable to resolve any issues with the portrait and the client is dissatisfied with the final result then the order will be terminated. In this circumstance, the artist reserves the right to complete, exhibit, produce merchandise, copies from and re-sell the piece.

  4. The artist will do her best to ensure the portrait is protected in the best possible way during transit to the client, however she cannot be held liable for any damage incurred. All portraits are sent by recorded or special delivery and as such are insured. Should there be any loss or damage the artist should be informed as soon as possible in order that she may contact the delivery company to resolve the matter and if appropriate, obtain compensation in order that the commission cost may be refunded. In the instance of a full refund, the portrait must be sent back to the artist before the refund is issued. Under no circumstances will any work be posted or shipped out until the whole payment has been received in full.

  5. On completion of the portrait, the artist allows 4 weeks for the oustanding balance to be paid. Should payment not be received, and no efforts to pay the artist have been made, then she reserves the right to terminate the order and any deposit paid by the client may be lost. If an issue with payment has arisen, the artist should be contacted as early as possible and a potential solution can be discussed. Once terminated, the artist has full rights to resell and exhibit the artwork.

  6. The artist retains all copyright of the final portrait. No prints or copies can be made without the written permission of the artist. The artist reserves all rights to the image and it may be used for advertising or monetary gain, both printed and digitally.
